My Mediocre Art Works

Famous Person Pop Art Canvas

Picture
In this project the students of 10th grade including me needed to draw and paint a famous person or any person the choose in a canvas. The interesting part of it was that it had to be in a pop art style. This project required great craftsmanship but still was very fun. We had to draw the dark spots the light spots the intermediate spots everything, it had to be very precise. Luckily our teacher Mrs. Lopez came out with a great idea that was to draw squares in both the picture of the famous person and in the canvas equally this way the proportions where more precise. We also had to paint it with pop art colors that was very awesome. My canvas for example had a orange background and John Lennon is painted in different tones of blue. This was what we had to do in this project.
This project for me was really hard but still as mentioned before very fun. We really worked very hard and a lot of good works came out of it. Still the hardest part of this project was to certainly draw all the shades around the face and number them from 1 to 5, 1 being the lightest and 5 the darkest. This for me was the hardest part. Then I had really easy parts too as choosing the colors for it and painting the background or even choosing the person I wanted to draw. This project was very challenging and fun too and it is one of my mediocre best art works, so far.

Inspiration Sketch

Picture
10th grade students have to present every week or so 3 to 6 sketches for us to be drawing in a weekly basis. I am no very good when it comes to doing sketches and sometimes I have no ideas and don't know what to draw. But, in this particular occasion I had a great idea. It may sound mediocre and silly but I drew a car. This car is futuristic though. this car has a conservative and ancient model like a old Mercedes Benz but it has wings and turbines. I really was inspired when I was drawing it. This was my sketch.
This sketch as I said has been my inspiration. when I finished it I felt like I had really completed a peace of work that would last in my memory. The hardest part of this sketch was definitely to choose what to draw, sometimes I feel I have no imagination because of this. Still that was the hardest part. Then the easiest part was to draw it I was so inspired that everything came naturally and I drew as I have never drew before. It was great. I strongly recommend everyone who has the chance to read this to grab a peace of paper when you are feeling great and draw whatever comes to your mind. As mediocre as it sounds i can turn out to be another of your best mediocre art works, so far.

Disappearing in the Wind Sketch

Picture
This sketch has the same value and the same description as the one just above but in this case it has another story behind it. This sketch was really weird, a friend of mine taught me how to draw this cartoon noses that were supposed to be funny and I turned them into sadness and suffering. It was weird but it certainly came out as another of my mediocre best art works.
I have no words to describe this sketch really it was very odd and I am not the type of person who draws this type of stuff so it was weird. Still I figured it was one of my best works because of it mediocrity. It isnt a hard drawing to do but it has its tricky parts. One of them that could be considered the hardest is the eyes. You want the eyes to be looking straight forward that is a bit tricky but it is easy to learn also. The easiest part of this same sketch was to make the shadows because I had to follow only one direction. This was my Disappearing in the Wind sketch which qualified as another mediocre art work.
